Bill's birthday is February 18th and Lillian's is January 13th and we were married on April 27, 1951.

We were accepted by Baptist Mid-Missions on May 15, 1951. July 31.1953 we sailed from Seattle for our first term of service in Japan and left there for the last time on December 15,1999.

During those years we were involved in language study, church planting, Bible camp director and other camp responsibilities, various Bible School responsibilities, several times supplying for furloughing missionaries and a team ministry with another missionary couple.

We retired from BMM as of May 31, 2000.

Christmas 2001

Dear Friends:

As we have now entered the “Holiday Season,” we trust that you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We truly did; and are thankful for theopportunity we had to be with some of our family.

As we think of Christmas and once again we will be reminded of God's great love for us in sending His only Begotten Son to be born of the virgin Mary and then about thirty-three years later to die on the cross to make available the gift of eternal life to any and all who would believe this truth by faith.

In April, God graciously allowed us to celebrate our fiftieth wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren and many friends and relatives.

As we thus come to the end of the year, we would like to bring you up to date on our situation here in the Pacific Northwest. Lillian is a teacher for 3 & 4 year olds in our home church Sunday School, and Bill teaches one of the Adult classes and conducted the Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer
meeting from June to November. We were both involved in the church VBS this past summer. Bill has also done some supply preaching in other churches.

We are thankful for the opportunities that the Lord has given us and for His supply of strength to do them.

We have also been involved with Bill's mother in two hospitalizations and with her daily needs, requiring many trips to Seattle. Also, as her apartment building has been sold, she is being forced to move and we have been looking for another place with assisted living for her. A place has been decided on. Please pray with us about this situation and her coming move.

Health wise, we are doing quite well. Following the completion of Bill's second set of eight hormone injections, his PSA started rising. After having a MRI and a bone scan, his doctor started him on a third series of eight injections, which will be completed in early December. During this time his PSA number dropped to less than 0.1 and has remained there for several months. We praise the Lord for His goodness and help.

We want to thank the Lord for you, who continue to pray for us. THANK YOU!

And may our Lord's blessing be upon you continually.

Sincerely yours in the blessed Name of our living Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ
