Dear Beloved Friends and Family in Christ,

That “good and acceptable and perfect will of God” is exactly what we have striven for in our family and ministry. We have always enjoyed the sweet and peaceful joys of being in the center of God’s will. It is that center of His will that we long to continue in and the reason for this letter.

We are coming to you with a prayer request, as we believe the Lord is leading us to make some significant changes in our ministry. For some years our desire has been to go back to seminary but those doors have remained closed as of late. For the first time we are seeing the Lord open new doors and opportunities for Scott to finish school. But because we desire to make sure it isn’t our will, but God’s will, we are asking you to pray with us through these life-changing decisions. We want to prove “what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” and we understand biblically that God is not hiding His will from us but that God leads and directs His will in our lives through our pursuit of holiness. So you can pray for us that we will live holy and upright lives before God as He directs our paths.

We believe God is setting a stage to bring glory to His name through all this. We are having title problems on one piece of our ranch that is going to take a miraculous act of God to resolve. We ask you to pray for us to have patience as we wait on the Lord for Him to resolve these issues. We need prayer for our buyers to be patient as we wait on the Lord. We need prayer for wisdom, guidance, and strength as we move from the “end of the earth” to the “center of the earth” (Los Angeles at The Master’s Seminary).

God has been gracious, as He has been at work in the hearts of our people in our present ministry. We believe that the leadership is in place for the ministry in the Tri-state field to carry on. Furthermore, the Lord is already opening ministry with American Missionary Fellowship in the Los Angeles area for us to continue our partnership with the mission and you. However, we need your prayers as we wait on the Lord to open the last few doors of His divine will for our lives.

So will you walk with us through this decision in the form of prayer? Your prayers are invaluable to us. The Bible teaches us that our lives are open before the Father. We desire that same openness before you in the fact you have the freedom to ask any questions of us that will help you pray more effectively. So please call, write, or e-mail and we would love to discuss with you how God is directing our lives.

In closing, we are truly grateful for our partnership with you through the years and look forward to the future ministries God has in store for us.

We finally got our computer up and running for the time being:) Here is a list of our praise and prayer requests:

Praises:
Praise to Grace Baptist Chuch for you supplying the money to finish the barn. Thank you all!!!
Praise that we met our yearly budget for our family income and medical insurance increase.
Prayer Requests:
Continued prayer for legal problems with the sale of our ranch.
Pray for the Lake City church body for continual spiritual growth and dedication to God's word.
Pray for the struggling marriages Scott is dealing with in our ministry field.

Dear Grace Baptist Church & Sunday School, 8/4/03

The request is simple this time. Our ministry here seems to be completed and the Lord we believe is about to move us to the next one. The ranch is sold and officially in escrow, this is what we have been waiting on the Lord for and now that looks as though its a done deal. Our family is searching our Lord for the next step. This involves our future ministry as a pastor/missionary and also schooling. We desire Grace Baptist Church to prayer for us in these areas. We believe the Lord is about to show us where that next step is to be in the next week or so. Please remember us as you pray and as soon as we our shown the answers to these prayers you will know as well. Thankyou so much for your faithful prayers and support of our family and ministry.
