Womens Ministries at Grace Baptist Church

WOMENS MINISTRIES Working together with our God-given talents and abilities, our service extends to children’s ministries, encouragement, fellowship, special events, missions, outreach and spiritual growth. These ministries provide opportunities for all ladies in our church to grow spiritually, lead by encouragement, and serve the Lord together.

Bible Study A Bible study utilizes various books and includes class participation. This group meets on Wednesday mornings.
	Children’s Ministries are overseen by Women’s Ministries. Please click the link provided here to go to the “Children’s Ministries” page for details.
Crafty Ladies These women meet in a home once a month and make a craft together. They also enjoy fellowship and enjoy lunch together.
	Emergency Meals We provide meals for those in our church during times of need such as major illness, injury, or loss of loved ones.
Housing This gives you opportunity to be hospitable by inviting a missionary or special speaker to stay overnight in your home and/or provide a meal for them.
	Ladies Retreat Join us for a fall weekend getaway. Keynote speaker, mini-seminars, special features, food, lodging, fellowship and free time are all part of the package.
Monthly Newsletter This monthly publication helps us keep in touch with each other and it also encourages our spiritual growth. Based on a timely theme each month, the features include insight from our ladies.
	Nurseries Toddler and infant nurseries lend opportunity for loving care givers to nurture these precious children. Parents are encouraged knowing that their children are well cared for during church services and can focus on Bible teaching.
Prayer Pals Our Prayer Pal group is a fun way to have an impact on someone else’s life. Each January, names are drawn and we agree to pray regularly for our prayer pal. It is also fun to keep our identity a secret and leave little mementos to let her know you are thinking of her and praying for her. Our object is not the gift given but the thought and the prayer involved.
	Showers We give bridal showers for brides-to-be within our church family. Baby showers are given for first-time moms; a money gift is given for the second child and a card for the third and following.
Single Sisters Single women and widows fellowship once a month over Sunday dinner at a designated place. Other activities are also planned as desired.
	Special Events Most church social events are overseen by women’s ministries. Ladies are always welcome to help with ideas, organization and decorating for such events as the Christmas banquet, conferences, Father’s Day and Memorial Day fellowships.
Spring Tea Our tea takes place the Friday before Mother’s Day. The program theme is centered around women of all ages and stages of life so it is enjoyed by all who attend. It is also an outreach to our neighbors, co-workers and friends. A committee prepares this special night of food and fellowship. .
	Welcome Ladies Be a part of welcoming new ladies to our church by hosting or attending a welcome luncheon. New women are introduced to some ladies of Grace and to service opportunities through women’s ministries.
Women’s Missionary Fellowship Our WMF meets once a month during the school year. A ‘special feature’, such as stamping stationary to give the missionaries for their personal use, begins an hour before our regular meeting. Following the encouraging activity, we focus on our missionaries at home and abroad. Our special speakers are missionaries on furlough or on deputation, and we learn how to pray for them and help in their specific needs on their field.
